A pair of solar powered auto darkening welding goggles designed to automatically change from a light state to a dark state when the light source is bright enough, to protect the users eyes, then return to a light state when the welding stops. Ideal for use during gas welding, brazing & cutting, they also offer protection against ultra violet and infra-red light (DIN16). The Laser 8871 Auto Darkening Welding Goggles are only suitable for Gas Welding & Cutting, not MIG, TIG or ARC. This is because they don’t offer physical protection to the rest of the face. It’s easy to confuse Gas Welding, done with a flame using oxyacetylene kits, with MIG or TIG Gas Welding, done with an electric arc using MIG or TIG Inert Gas rigs. Please ensure that you wear the correct level of protection for the medium you are operating with to ensure sfately at all times.
